Alon Tiran is a distinguished Theatre and Opera Director, currently serving as the TAU Theatre Director. With a rich background in drama education, he holds the position of a drama tutor at Tel Aviv University and has imparted his expertise in renowned institutions across Israel, including Beit Zvi School for Performing Arts and The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Alon earned his MA with distinction in theatre directing at RADA London and initiated his career as an Associate Artist at the esteemed Bush Theatre. Throughout his career, Alon has showcased his directing skills in a diverse array of productions, including notable works such as ‘Princess Ivona’ by Witold Gombrowicz, 'Job’s Passion’ by Hanoch Levin, and Mozart's ‘Magic Flute’ and ‘Cosi fan tutte.’ His impressive repertoire also includes directing ‘Faith, Love, Hope’ by Ödön von Horváth, ‘Collaborators’ by John Hodge, ‘From Morning to Midnight’ by Georg Kaiser, and 'Bereaved’ by Joshua Sobol. With a genuine passion for storytelling and a dedication to artistic excellence, Alon Tiran continues to contribute significantly to the vibrant world of theatre and opera.
